My name is BethAnn Hanson, and I’ve been actively in Rottweilers since 1987, when I purchased my first Rottweiler, “Zeus”. Zeus is the impetus which began my love affair with these wonderful dogs. He was a pet conformationally, but the best dog in terms of the old-fashioned, “true” Rottweiler temperament that I have ever met.
Mechelle and Ch. Lucene’s Czar, CD have been the best of friends for many years and would love to share with you who we are today. Mechelle has bred, owned, trained, and handled Rottweilers since 1974. When Mechelle was 11 years old, her mother helped her pick out her first puppy out of a litter 13, her name was Lucene’s Rhoda, UD.
I saw my first Rottweiler in April, 1978 at the Chicago International Show. I started showing dogs in 1974 (Doberman Pinscher and Black and Tan Coonhounds), but I was mesmerized by the dog I saw in the Working Group in Chicago. (Ch Rodsden’s Bruin Von Hungerbuhl CDX). Breeders were few and far between at the time, but I was able to get my first Rottweiler puppy in June of 1979, and I named him Berte. (Ch Rodsden’s Berte V Zederwald CDX)
Rottweilers are our passion here at Superior Rottweilers. We would like to share the loyalty and compassion that we have found in our rottweilers. We have owned rottweilers since we were young adults and have taken years to find the best lines to bring into our breeding program. We want only the best of the best. It is important to us that they have excellent conformation as well as solid even temperaments.
My name is Jerry Sampson, breeder/trainer/handler. I got Brito in August 2004, and began training him for AKC
conformation. I got him to within a 3pt major for his AKC championship in less then 30 days of showing. At the
USRC Bluegrass Rottweiler Club German show in KY, Brito took Best Male in Show.
For greater than 35 years we have had opportunity to experience first hand the Rottweiler character of striking physical presence, intelligence, loyalty and personal companionship of amazing Rottweilers from international pedigrees. This has also afforded opportunity to meet many significant, wonderful people of the Rottweiler world.
ROMPING in a partly wooded one-and-a-half-acre fenced yard, a pack of large, bearlike black dogs with short, docked tails are a sight of uncanny, breathtaking beauty.
In 1982, I acquired my first Rottweiler, Michener’s Michael CD, Certified Police Service Dog (“Mick”) and established Nighthawk Rottweilers. While Mick met all of my hopes and expectations, his hips unfortunately did not, and I was introduced to the harsh realities of the breed. I neutered Mick and proceeded to purchase 7-week old CH Einmin Lanneret v Rottdan CD, AD, Therapy Dog TDI, Police Service Dog Mountain View Police Department, MRC Honor Roll (“Hawk”). This dog, Hawk, later became the basis for the kennel name “Nighthawk Rottweilers.”

My name is MARY JOHNSON and my life has been dominated by Rottweilers for the last 28 years. I have focused primarily on training and showing dogs, but I have occasionally bred a litter when I could put the right male and female together.
The Rottweiler makes a loyal and wonderful companion, but requires time and training. The Rottweiler is a basically calm, confident, and courageous dog with a self-assured aloofness. The Rottweiler is a powerful dog with an inherent desire to protect home and family. The Rottweiler’s strong will to work make it an especially good companion dog.
At Rabenbucht Rottweilers our goal is to breed the ideal Rottweiler.
We strive to maintain and produce Rottweilers with correct conformation, working ability, and true Rottweiler temperament. Dogs who would be suitable for show, working, and/or exceptional family companions!
Our German Rottweilers are part of our family and we know your new puppy will become part of yours. We know how important temperament, intelligence, conformation and health are when you are looking to bring home your new family member. We love the breed and because of it we chose to breed German Rottweilers bloodlines.
In 1992, we purchased our very first Rottweiler from a well-respected breeder in Pennsylvania. After attending numerous Rottweiler shows and training the dogs, we fell in love with the breed.
