Our goal is to produce quality pets with family oriented dispositions, while also maintaining AKC Standard conformation. We love our dogs and enjoy seeing others have the chance to share the type of companionship that we do. We are a small hobby breeder and have a limited number of litters each year. Our females are pets and we do not want to over breed them as some people do.
I saw my first Rottweiler in April, 1978 at the Chicago International Show. I started showing dogs in 1974 (Doberman Pinscher and Black and Tan Coonhounds), but I was mesmerized by the dog I saw in the Working Group in Chicago. (Ch Rodsden’s Bruin Von Hungerbuhl CDX). Breeders were few and far between at the time, but I was able to get my first Rottweiler puppy in June of 1979, and I named him Berte. (Ch Rodsden’s Berte V Zederwald CDX)
The Rottweiler is an old breed that began in Germany as a cattle drover. Today it rivals the best of dogs as a champion and guardian. The Rottweiler was named after the German town of Rottweil. A Rottweiler is a natural born trotter. To see a large athletic Rottweiler move is like poetry in motion. These dogs can easily weigh more than most humans and far more powerful. When you see a Rottweiler muzzled, you can figure that the owner may well not be kidding.
I got my first rottweiler way back in 1984. This was actually the first rottweiler I ever saw in person as well. He was not a quality example of the breed. He had a long coat and a bad bite but he did have enough of the characteristic rottweiler qualities that caused me to fall in love with the breed and begin what has now been a 26 yr involvement with these great dogs!
We are located in the beautiful Texas Hill Country just Northwest of San Antonio, Texas. We have been raising rottweilers for over 18 years, and we are constantly trying to produce dogs that are excellent Ambassadors of the breed, with excellent substance, confirmation, working ability, and that are family oriented. Our dogs participate in Rottweiler Specialty Shows in the USRC, ARV, and NIRK.and also in the AKC, and UCI Show Rings, and all of our imports have obtained Working/ Obedience titles.

I have had this noble breed since 1989 when a Rottweiler male landed upon my doorstep and “rescued” me…thus began my journey with the Rottweiler breed which to me is like no other on earth. We are a “code of ethics” GERMAN ROTTWEILER BREEDER and pride ourselves in the ability to bring the BEST bloodlines available from GERMANY and EUROPE into our kennel. Our dogs are GERMAN Imports or direct descendants of GERMAN Imports out of our own breeding program.
